Dr. P.A. Maphalala earned her undergraduate degree, MBChB, from the University of Free State in 2004. During her community service, she developed a profound interest in women's and reproductive health, which prompted her to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her postgraduate qualification in 2012 and served as a specialist obstetrician and gynecologist. Following this, she worked as a consultant and lecturer at Steve Biko Hospital, where her diverse experiences enabled her to engage with women from various backgrounds and address a wide array of health issues.

Dr. Maphalala furthered her education at the University of Pretoria, obtaining her FCOG MMED, a certificate in reproductive medicine, subsequently becoming a fertility specialist. She has established herself as a trusted healthcare provider for women, delivering comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
